This iconic pub was featured in the film "Priscilla, Queen of the Desert" (Read about the movie here, and if you haven’t seen it - do yourself a favour!) and is a must-see attraction in Broken Hill. Take some time to explore the hotel's unique interior, including the stunning murals on the walls and ceilings.


Destination 3: Broken Hill City Art Gallery

Next, head over to the Broken Hill City Art Gallery. This gallery features an impressive collection of Australian art, with a focus on works from the outback. Take a guided tour or explore the exhibitions on your own.


Destination 4: Bell’s Milk Bar

Step back in time at Bell's Milk Bar! This Broken Hill icon is an ode to yesteryear, serving up the same delicious malted milks, milkshakes and soda spiders as they did when Elvis topped the charts. Enjoy the red pleather and chrome of the original 1950's decor, bop along to the 'latest hits' on the jukebox and sample the wide range of drink flavours on offer, all made by hand in small batches on the premises.


Destination 5: Living Desert and Sculptures

After lunch, take a short drive to the Living Desert Reserve. This reserve is home to a collection of large sandstone sculptures that are set against the stunning backdrop of the outback landscape. Take a walk around the reserve and learn about the cultural and natural history of the area.

You can also take a drive to the nearby Mundi Mundi Plains lookout for a stunning sunset view of the outback.
